In 1999, out of 900 new Realtors, I was honored with the award of "Rookie of the Year". In 2001, I sold over $6,000,000 in Real Estate for Long and Foster in Anne Arundel County, Maryland. I was honored as one of the top 20 Commission Sales Agents in the Long and Foster network. In 2002 I sold over $9,000,000 in Real Estate and was awarded membership in the Chairman's Club. Presently I am listed Nationally in the top 2% of all Realtors. I am now in the Masters Club with over $20,000,000 in sales annually. An Annapolitan's View:
My Family ancestry in the Annapolis area dates back to the early 1800's. Having grown up in the Annapolis area, I have watched Annapolis grow and change and yet continue to be the special town I love. Annapolis has everything from fine dining, easy access to international airports and major cities, good weather patterns and friendly people. We are only 2 and 1/2 hours from either the mountains or the ocean. We are 3 and 1/2 hours from New York City. Our winters are mild (it seldom snows anymore). We don't get earthquakes or tornados and the Chesapeake Bay protects our harbors from winds of hurricanes. Annapolis is the "Sailboat Capitol" of the East Coast, and powerboats are welcome as well. And, of course, where else is the crabbing and fishing so close? This really is "the land of pleasant living".
Horse Farm Country
In the Spring of 2002 I purchased a Farm in Southern Anne Arundel County. Having enjoyed horseback riding as a teen, I have included horses in my choice of companions on the Farm. Of course, Charlie, my Golden Retriever loves running on the farm and often thinks that he is a horse. Because of the farm, I have met many farming neighbors and in fact have been aiding many clients in finding land for their own farms. Perhaps you know of someone interested in buying or selling land in the Anne Arundel or Calvert County areas.
All About "Charlie"
In March of 2006 Charlie turned nine years old. As many of you know, he is from the "goldrush" lineage and has Grand Champion on both sides. I have tried to find "a good woman" for him. In July of 2003 "Olivia" joined our pedigree family. She had Grand Champion and Hall of Fame bloodlines. Unfortunately, "Charlie and Olivia" were not successful at having puppies and were totally inseparable as companions.In July,2006, "Olivia" developed Lymphoma and passed away. We have all been saddened by this. In May, 2007 Charlie suddenly passed away from a heart attack. The only prescription for that pain is a new puppy so on July 6, 2007 Jack Flash was born. I drove 12 hours to Indiana to bring home a new "Baby Boy". Now full grown, Jack looks almost identical to Charlie. I will keep my logo photo for now as a remembrance of "Charlie". Meanwhile I have again found "the love of my life" in Jack. Perhaps in the future we'll find a mate for our new Golden Boy.
Knowing the Land
Since purchasing my 80 acre farm in Souther Anne Arundel County, I have learned much about land management, requirements and things we need to know if considering the purchase of land. For example, are there any old dumps, sludge ponds, agricultural easements or back taxes owed? When and will the land be able to successfully Perk and, if so, what can you plan to put on your new land purchase?
